BMW X2 will debut in 2017, price may start from 240,000 yuan

The BMW X2 concept car was officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September. According to the latest news from foreign media, the mass-produced version of the BMW X2 may be unveiled at the end of 2017 and will be launched in 2018. The starting price of the new car may be around US$35,000, equivalent to RMB 241,000.

The BMW X2 is positioned between the X1 and X3. The mass-produced X2 will retain more design elements of the concept car, such as 21-inch wheels, more personalized headlights, unique kidney grille, etc. Specially designed taillights should also appear on mass-produced models.

The BMW X2 concept car's side waistline design extends smoothly upward, and the rear door window line rises rapidly, giving it a dynamic shape. Compared with BMW's other all-around coupe SAC (Sport Activity Coupe) models (X4, X6), the roof is not too steep, ensuring ample rear headroom.

The X2 will become a new member of the BMW Sports Activity Vehicle (SAC) camp. In terms of power, the X2 based on the UKL front-wheel drive platform will provide 1.5T and 2.0T gasoline engines, and is expected to be imported for domestic sales in the future.
