BMW 5 Series M Performance Edition official pictures released, debut early next year

Recently, BMW released a set of official pictures of the new 5 Series M Performance version. The new car has been upgraded in appearance and interior, and its power performance has also been improved accordingly. It is reported that the new car will be released in the first quarter of next year.

From the official pictures, we can see that the new 5 Series M Performance Edition is based on the regular 5 Series, but after being equipped with the M kit, the front and rear bumpers look more radical, and the use of black carbon fiber materials in the front lip, side skirts, and rearview mirror covers further enhances the sporty temperament of the new car. The black stripes on the side of the car and the M nameplate on the fender make the new car highly recognizable.

In addition, the new BMW 5 Series M Performance Edition uses 20-inch M lightweight wheels, with the front and rear wheel sizes of 245/35 R20 and 275/30 R20 respectively, which, combined with the red four-piston brake calipers, greatly enhance its aggressiveness. A ducktail spoiler is added to the rear of the car, and a double-sided chrome exhaust layout is adopted below.

In terms of power, the new BMW 5 Series M Performance Edition will provide 530i, 530i xDrive, 540i, 540i xDrive and diesel versions 530d and 530d xDrive models. Among them, the 540i and 540i xDrive models will be equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engine with a maximum output power of 265 kilowatts and a peak torque of 500 Nm, which are both improved compared to the regular version; while the maximum output power of the 530d and 530d xDrive models can reach 215 kilowatts, and the peak torque is 650 Nm.
