Uber completes 5 billion trips, 156 drivers receive $500 reward

Uber lost a board member and fired 20 employees due to gender discrimination and sexual harassment. On June 29, local time, Uber announced that in May, 156 Uber drivers around the world simultaneously pushed Uber's trips to the 5 billion mark. Among the 156 drivers who helped Uber reach 5 billion trips, one was a first-time Uber user. Each of these people will receive a $500 reward from Uber as a thank you. Reaching 3 billion trips in a year is unprecedented for Uber. The media said that if Uber can cheer up, the number of trips may be even higher next year.
