The hardtop version of the new generation Porsche 911 (992) will be released overseas in the first quarter of 2018. Recently, overseas media exposed a set of test spy photos of the new 911 Cabriolet (soft-top convertible). Like the previously exposed hardtop version of the 911, the convertible version of the 911 will continue the classic elements in the front face. Except for the roof, there is almost no difference between the two models.

But it is worth mentioning that the new car has a big change in interior decoration. The new car is equipped with a "five-link" instrument panel and a large-size central control display, but the instrument panel only retains the central single mechanical speed meter. The speed, water temperature, oil level and other information are all displayed on a full LED LCD screen, which is full of technology. At the same time, the position of the central air-conditioning outlet of the car has been moved to the position below the central display screen, and it is also equipped with paddle-type physical buttons around it. The new car is also equipped with an electronic gear lever, and the black blank areas on both sides are expected to be equipped with more control buttons in the future.

The power system of the new 911 has not been revealed yet, but in order to clearly distinguish it from the 718 model, the four-cylinder engine will not appear on the new 911. Foreign media speculate that Porsche will develop a new turbocharged engine for the new generation 911, and its maximum power will be between 540-600 horsepower.
