Recently, Toyota officially released a preview video of the new Avalon model, which shows the shape of the new car's taillight group and the working status of the flowing turn signal. The car was officially released at the 2018 North American Auto Show which opened on January 15. The new Avalon will also be introduced by FAW Toyota in the future and is expected to be launched in China in the second half of 2018 or early 2019.

In the latest preview video, Toyota showed the taillight design of the new Avalon, which is composed of two LED width lights and brake lights. When the left turn signal is working, the entire turn signal strip is first lit up, and then gradually goes out from right to left. The right turn signal is the opposite.

Foreign media said that the new Avalon is expected to provide two powertrain options: a 3.5L six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine and a 2.5L hybrid. The 3.5L model is expected to be equipped with an 8AT gearbox, and both will adopt a front-engine front-wheel drive layout. At present, the Crown has always been Toyota's flagship sedan in China. According to recent news, the next generation Crown will still adopt a rear-wheel drive layout and focus on sports. The arrival of the new Avalon will allow the Crown to focus on sports, and Avalon will fill the gap in the flagship business sedan.
