FF 91 starts vehicle assembly, the biggest progress in two years

After more than two years of intensive certification testing, FF 91 is finally about to start assembly. This will be FF's biggest progress in two years.

On August 2, FF announced that on July 30, local time in Los Angeles, the first body in white, built by the R&D and production teams after 52 hours of uninterrupted work, arrived at FF's factory in Hanford, and then the assembly of the FF 91 vehicle officially started.

All technologies of FF 91 will be equipped in Hanford Plant. Including more than 1,500 self-piercing rivets for connecting aluminum body structures; several specific body connection technologies; aluminum alloy resistance spot welding, cold metal transfer (CMT) welding; Flush® thread technology, which enables one-way connection processes that cannot be achieved under traditional sheet metal connection methods; the first application of FLASHELL® resistance element welding (REW) technology for welding aluminum and steel; the earliest use of wireless "transducer" torque tools, which play a big role in comprehensive error prevention, total process connectivity/traceability and assembly accuracy.
