WM Motor EX5 caught fire in Wenzhou: The whole vehicle burned but no one was injured

[NetEase Intelligence News, September 23] Today, a short video of a WM EX5 burning on the road went viral on social media. At around 11 a.m., WM Motor officials responded.

WM Motor said that a WM EX5 (license plate number: Zhejiang CD62XXX) caught fire on a road in Wenzhou on the morning of September 23. WM Motor contacted the owner immediately and sent professionals to the scene to assist in handling the situation.

According to the owner's recollection, smoke first came out of the armrest box and the seat in the car. When he opened the door to look for a fire extinguisher, the interior of the car began to burn, and the open flames gradually spread, causing the entire car to burn. After the fire department responded, the open flames were quickly extinguished. The battery pack loaded in the vehicle did not catch fire or explode in the accident, and the accident did not cause any casualties or other property losses.

At present, WM Motor is cooperating with firefighters to investigate the cause of the accident and the follow-up results will be announced in a timely manner.
