On the morning of October 16, some users reported that the mobile network suddenly experienced a large-scale outage. Among them, the car systems of brands such as Weilai and Xiaopeng were unable to connect to the Internet.

At the same time, there was a large-scale network outage at charging stations, and the app page showed that most of the charging stations were unable to connect to the Internet.

At 10 a.m., China Mobile issued a statement saying, "Due to problems with China Mobile's IoT card network, some power stations cannot be used normally. We are currently working with China Mobile to speed up the investigation and handling. The charging peak is coming soon. Please check the app before charging and choose a power station in normal condition to charge. We will notify you as soon as the system is restored."

Xiaopeng Motors issued a statement saying, "Due to network anomalies, some customers' large screens were unable to access the Internet and the app was unable to remotely control the car. The initial location was that the operator's network parameters were abnormal. Xiaopeng Motors is urgently promoting the operator to repair it."

NIO issued a statement saying, "Currently, CGW has experienced a network outage, which has been synchronized with the relevant technical departments to handle. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Vehicles can be driven normally during the network outage, but please do not operate the vehicle upgrade. If there are special circumstances, you can contact the app exclusive group for assistance."

It is understood that this network failure is only limited to models using mobile Internet of Things cards, and models using China Unicom Internet of Things cards such as GAC New Energy GE3 are not affected.
