91 Ten New Energy Vehicle Industry Briefs: Mercedes-Benz’s contribution to BAIC’s revenue reached 95.9%

1. Lexus expects that by 2025, all of its models will be available in electrified versions, and the sales share of related models will surpass that of traditional gasoline models.

2. Geely may restart Volvo Cars IPO with a valuation of US$20 billion. In 2010, Geely acquired Volvo Cars from Ford for US$1.8 billion.

8. Rivian, an American electric truck manufacturer, said it will provide users with an 8-year/189,000-kilometer warranty on their battery packs, which exceeds Ford and Tesla.

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have discovered a new electrolyte that can increase the energy density of lithium metal batteries to 420 watt-hours/kilogram, thereby extending the range of battery vehicles. Currently, the energy density of lithium-ion batteries is about 260 watt-hours/kilogram.

10. Mercedes-Benz is becoming increasingly important to BAIC. The 2020 financial report shows that Mercedes-Benz contributed 95.9% of BAIC's revenue.
