Tesla will launch a new model, Model S Plaid, this year and Model S Plaid+ next year. It is reported that both models can reach a top speed of 320 kilometers per hour and accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers in just 1.99 seconds. The range of Model S Plaid is 563 kilometers, while the range of Model S Plaid+ is 837 kilometers.

It is reported that the Model S Plaid was recently tested on the famous Laguna Seca race track in the United States. The track is 3.6 kilometers long, includes 11 bends, and has an altitude change of 55 meters. It has hosted many racing and auto show events.

In the test, the Model S Plaid set a new record with a time of 1:36.55, beating the Tesla Model 3 (1:37.5) and the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 (137.54).

According to the on-site photos, the Model S Plaid is equipped with a movable rear wing, which is speculated to automatically adjust according to speed changes to stabilize the body at high speeds. Unfortunately, Musk confirmed that the rear wing is only used for pressure calibration and will not be used in mass-produced models.

The Model S Plaid starts at $123,000, or about RMB 790,000, and is expected to be delivered in a few weeks. The Model S Plaid+ starts at $153,000, or about RMB 983,500.
