Recently, many places in Henan Province were hit by heavy rains. The rainfall in Zhengzhou exceeded the historical extreme, forming a once-in-a-millennium rainstorm. After the weather cleared up on the 21st, the water on the ground began to recede, but it will take some time for the infrastructure involving water, electricity, network and transportation to be fully restored. Local factories have been affected to varying degrees.

Foxconn Group has built three factories in Zhengzhou. Apple's main production line is in Zhengzhou, with more than 90 production lines and about 350,000 workers. Zhengzhou Foxconn Apple's foundry produces almost half of the world's iPhones. On the evening of July 20, Foxconn said that the factory was operating normally after the heavy rain.

Semiconductor company Hejing said that the production of Hejing Zhengzhou plant has not been affected, but the subsequent traffic conditions may affect production. It is reported that Hejing Zhengzhou plant produces 170,000 8-inch wafers per month, which is currently running at full capacity, and 10,000 12-inch wafers, which have not yet been certified.

New energy vehicle manufacturers were also affected. Haima Automobile said that its Zhengzhou production base has been shut down due to power outages and water outages, including the Haima Zhengzhou No. 3 plant that manufactures for Xiaopeng Motors. In response to this news, Xiaopeng Motors said that it would not affect the production and sales of Xiaopeng Motors for the time being.
