From January to June 2022 , a total of 4.891 million Chinese-branded passenger cars were sold , a year-on-year increase of 16.5 % , accounting for 47.2% of the total passenger car sales , up 5.3 percentage points from the same period last year . In June 2022 , the market shares of Chinese-branded sedans, SUVs and MPVs were 35.8% , 51.7% and 59.0% respectively . Compared with the previous month, the market share still showed a certain decline; compared with the same period last year, the market share of Chinese-branded sedans continued to grow, while that of Chinese-branded SUVs and MPVs declined. From January to June 2022 , the market shares of Chinese-branded sedans, SUVs and MPVs were 37.6% , 54.5% and 58.1% respectively .
