Recently, it was reported online that Zhiji had large-scale vehicle computer failures, including the instrument screen not displaying; the vehicle speed and gear position not displaying; there were no radar reminders, steering sounds, streaming media rearview mirrors not displaying, etc.

In response to this situation, Zhiji Auto officially responded that the problem is common and has attracted widespread attention. At present, the company is working hard to solve it, striving to solve the troubles of users as quickly as possible. It is expected that this problem is related to the system update, and completing the latest software update will not affect the performance of the vehicle. In order to speed up the problem-solving process, Zhiji Auto has launched the OTA remote upgrade program, hoping to improve the stability and reliability of the equipment as soon as possible through technical means. To this end, car owners only need to follow the prompts to complete the system upgrade to restore the relevant functions.

The latest data shows that the sales volume of Zhiji LS6 (picture | inquiry | configuration) in December was 8,158 units, the sales volume of Zhiji LS7 (picture | inquiry | configuration) was 539 units, and the sales volume of Zhiji L7 (picture | inquiry | configuration) was only 7 units.

The failure of Zhiji Auto’s car computer directly resulted in some car owners’ cars being scratched because the radar did not alarm when encountering an obstacle.

It is understood that Zhiji pushed a software version update notification to car owners on January 2. The notification showed that car owners needed to install two minor version updates, and they needed to download them one after another. The first installation package took 150 minutes to download and 50 minutes to install. The second installation package took 40 minutes to download and 15 minutes to install, totaling 255 minutes, which means that car owners need to spend 4.25 hours to completely complete the update. However, on January 3, some netizens complained about the difficulties they encountered when updating the system. After receiving the update notification from Zhiji, a car owner did not achieve automatic update until the early morning, and finally had to wait for Zhiji's engineers to help him after work the next day.

Obviously, the situation that occurred with Zhiji Auto around the New Year has caused dissatisfaction among many car owners. The company's management also needs to review and summarize this to minimize the losses of car owners.

However, Zhiji Auto’s official Weibo account and the personal Weibo account of Liu Tao, the company’s CEO, did not mention this. Their account still stated on January 2 that “2024, the decisive battle for intelligence”. Liu Tao also said, “‘Rolling technology’ has become an industry consensus, and I am very pleased! This has really rolled up Zhiji’s long version!... In terms of software, today’s Zhiji Auto actually has more advantages.” Under Zhiji Auto’s official Weibo account, a netizen left a message questioning: “Are you still playing dead on the OTA issue?”
