Xiaomi Mi Box Enhanced Edition Full Analysis

The Xiaomi box uses the Amlogic S802 processor, which uses TSMC's most advanced 28nm HPM process, is based on the latest Cortex-A9r4 quad-core architecture, and has a single-core frequency of up to 2GHz. For CPU performance, in addition to the architecture, the main frequency has the greatest impact. However, the increase in the main frequency will increase power consumption and chip heating. To solve this problem, the best way is to improve the chip manufacturing process. The chip has a higher degree of integration, a smaller unit area, and further reduces power consumption and heat. Amlogic S802 uses the same TSMC 28nm HPM process as Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 series processors. The performance of this quad-core CPU can reach 20,000DMIPS, which is nearly three times the performance of the quad-core Cortex-A7. In terms of display performance, it uses an 8-core Mali-450 GPU. This should be the chip with the highest GPU configuration among the current quad-core A9 chips. It is said that its performance will be about 5 times that of the quad-core Mali-400. Not only that, the Xiaomi Mi Box also has 2GB dual-channel memory and 4GB high-speed flash memory. According to Lei Jun, this Xiaomi Mi Box can support the current mainstream 4K playback, and the execution and reading speed is three times that of the previous Xiaomi Mi Box. At the same time, the Xiaomi Mi Box is also one of the few high-definition boxes that supports dual-band AC network, so that the box can avoid interference in the 2.5GHz frequency band and have a faster transmission rate and more stable performance in the 5GHz band.
