Let Android run iOS apps, there are pictures and truth!

One of the important reasons why many people choose iOS devices is that there are many high-quality applications on the iOS system. Although the number and quality of applications on the Android system have improved a lot over the years, the controversy among users has not subsided. It would be great if iOS applications could also run on Android devices. Now, this idea can be realized! Recently, six students from Columbia University in New York, USA, developed a "system compatibility framework" called Cider (different from the Cider simulator on OS X), which allows native iOS applications to think that Android devices are iPhones or iPads, so that iOS applications can run successfully on the Android system. As shown in the video, in Nexus 7, Cider can make some iOS applications run smoothly, just like running native Android applications. However, the overall performance of Cider is not very good at present. The application does not run smoothly enough, and iOS applications cannot use the hardware functions of Android devices, such as GPS, cellular networks, etc. At present, the development of the Cider application is still in a prototype state, and many aspects still need to be improved. If the application can gradually mature, these limitations will no longer exist.
