Why did the 4G version of Redmi Note abandon MediaTek?

The day before yesterday, Xiaomi officially released the 4G version of Redmi Note. Compared with the original version, the 4G version of Redmi Note replaced the MT6592 true octa-core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400.

You should know that MediaTek's 4G baseband MT6290 has already started shipping, and it can be paired with the MT6592 processor to form a 4G platform. So why did Redmi Note still abandon MediaTek?

If it is paired with MT6592, the overall heat generation will inevitably increase further.

Later he said that the 4G version of Redmi phone (the 4.7-inch version) uses the MT6582+6290 solution, but it has not been officially released yet. The overheating problem of MT6290 may be the key factor.

So, can we assume that the 4G version of Redmi Note abandoned MediaTek due to heat concerns?
