Magneti Marelli to be at CES 2024: Discover a journey of design-led innovation

Co-create with Magneti Marelli to personalize your vehicle with technology

  • The unique experience will showcase how Magneti Marelli is enabling the software-defined car revolution through its scalable hardware architecture, software-as-a-service, and cloud-based virtualization technologies powered by AWS, QNX, and Qualcomm Technologies.
  • In the Digital Twin Studio, guests can use interactive applications, select vehicle features, and see them in action in a demo car.
  • Magneti Marelli’s digital twin technology will be on display in the “Co-create@Speed” area, replicating vehicle components in the cloud to increase the speed of design, testing, simulation and deployment of wireless functions.

Magneti Marelli, a leading supplier of mobility technologies to the automotive industry, will showcase its most innovative products at the 2024 CES at the Wynn Las Vegas from January 9 to 11, 2024. Through a carefully curated experience, Magneti Marelli will demonstrate its approach to innovation through design.

Guests invited to the exhibition will participate in a customized journey to gain an in-depth understanding of the various stages of vehicle co-creation. As a first step, guests will enter the Digital Twin Studio and answer some questions about their driving preferences to generate data that matches their driving personalization. Functions generated based on this data will be displayed in the demo car later in the journey. Guests will also learn about Magneti Marelli's digital twin technology.

In the "Co-creation@Speed" area, guests will gain a deeper understanding of Magneti Marelli's value proposition through software-defined cars and interact with technologies powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), QNX and Qualcomm. They will learn about Magneti Marelli's technologies supporting architecture scalability, software portability, domain control standardization and cloud virtualization. Guests will also be able to interact with Magneti Marelli's digital twin demonstrator, which can simulate the vehicle cockpit in the cloud.

After touring the Digital Twin Studio and the Co-creation@Speed area, guests were able to get behind the wheel of one of the demo cars. Here, the Digital Twin Studio’s features based on the guest’s personalization of the ride were activated. Guests were able to interact with their personalized 3D avatar and experience Magneti Marelli’s award-winning A-pillar to A-pillar “black mirror” displays, ambient lighting, smart surfaces, driver monitoring and human machine interface technologies. Ultra-narrow modules and light guide technology were also integrated into the front of the vehicle.

Magneti Marelli will also showcase its lighting and display technologies in the field of "Affordable Design". These solutions feature simplified hardware and software designs - fewer parts, lighter weight, lower CO2 emissions and lower costs than traditional lighting and display products. These designs are achieved through technology optimization, design-for-manufacturing methods and supply chain localization.

Technologies related to vehicle performance will be on display in the Performance Design Area, including Magneti Marelli’s fully active electromechanical suspension system, domain control unit, integrated thermal management module and wireless battery management system driven by artificial intelligence (AI).

The future of mobility will be unveiled in the “Layout for the Future” area, which will give us a glimpse into the next phase of Magneti Marelli’s design – an in-car experience driven by artificial intelligence – including advanced audio and sound zoning, electrically hidden displays and interior components, console projection, eco-friendly materials, multi-modal interaction, HD headlights with floor projection, multi-color illuminated front fascia and grille, exterior information display, rear window projection and more.

“We are excited to share our vision for the software-defined car at CES in January and demonstrate how we can put the power of personalization in the hands of automakers and car owners,” said David Slump, President and CEO of Magneti Marelli. “Our focus on design-led innovation, combined with our strong relationships with AWS, QNX and Qualcomm, enables us to create comprehensive solutions for our customers at Magneti Marelli speed.”
