Microsoft finally fixes Windows 95 vulnerability

Microsoft released 16 security patches yesterday, fixing a large number of security vulnerabilities in Windows, Office, IE, .NET and other components at one time, but perhaps few people know that one of the vulnerabilities has existed for 19 years!

This vulnerability appeared as early as Windows 95 and has been inherited since then, but it was not discovered until May of this year by IBM's network security research team, which called it a "major weakness" in the Windows operating system.

IBM researchers said that the code related to this vulnerability has been lying there quietly, and can be used by hackers for malicious purposes at any time over the years. It can be used to remotely control any computer, which is also the most common way of Windows vulnerabilities.

For security and ethical reasons, IBM did not disclose the details of the vulnerability.
