Intel releases new NUC mini PC, half as thin as previous version

Although many gamers and professional users are in great need of high-performance desktop computers, at the same time, for a large number of ordinary users, the configuration requirements are not very high. On the contrary, the size and flexibility of the computer may be more important. According to foreign media reports, in order to meet the needs of these users, Intel recently launched a new generation of NUC mini computer systems. The length and width of the new generation of NUC mini computers are still about 10cm, and they will be equipped with Intel's fifth-generation Broadwell processors. There are multiple models, one of which is only half the thickness of the old model.

In fact, news about the new generation of NUC mini computers came out as early as September this year. After the official release, Intel also released more product pictures on its official website.

In the two NUC mini computers in the picture, the larger full-size version has a reserved hard disk slot, while the thinner version is equipped with an M.2 slot for connecting a solid-state drive and may also use a fanless passive cooling system. In addition, both versions are equipped with a yellow USB port that supports charging when in sleep mode.

Although Intel has not yet announced more information about the new generation of NUC mini computer systems, some product models can be found on Intel's related support pages. Considering the upcoming CES exhibition, the new NUC mini computer is likely to be officially launched early next year.
