Elite launches Liva X mini PC, supports dual-screen display output

Although the mini PC market has never been mainstream, the competition is actually more intense than expected. Although CES 2015 will open in January next year, ECS (Elite) seems to be impatient and has just announced the launch of the new Liva X mini PC, which is expected to be launched in the early next year.

It is reported that the new Liva X mini PC at CES has a size of only 13.5×8.4×4.1 cm, which is very well controlled. However, the company did not disclose the specific processor, but gave the words "64-bit dual-core, frequency up to 2.25GHz". Obviously, the one that meets this description is most likely Intel's Celeron N2808.

Liva X will be available with 2GB or 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of eMMC storage. Additional storage space can also be expanded via the built-in mSATA card slot, but there is no space reserved for a mechanical hard drive. In terms of interfaces, Liva X provides 3 USBs, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI+VGA video output, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Given the relatively affordable price of the previous Liva mini PC, we expect the price of this machine will not be too high. But if ECS can launch a quad-core processor version (such as Celeron N2940), it seems that consumers will have more choices. Although some parameters have been made public, the retail price and launch time of the computers will not be known until the opening of CES 2015, which also leaves consumers and competitors with a lot of suspense.
