Zhu Jiang, Vice President of Jidu Auto, resigned less than half a year after joining the company

At noon on June 7, Sina Technology exclusively learned from two informed sources that Zhu Jiang (Izzy), vice president of Jidu Auto in charge of user development and operations, has resigned in mid-April, less than half a year after joining Jidu Auto.

In response, Jidu Auto replied to Sina Technology that Zhu Jiang resigned from Jidu Auto in mid-April 2022 for personal reasons. However, at that time, Shanghai was affected by the recurrence of the epidemic and Shanghai companies did not resume work normally, so Zhu Jiang's resignation seemed calm and sudden.

An insider familiar with Zhu Jiang told Sina Technology that his resignation from Jidu Auto was passive. Jidu Auto denied this statement. Sina Technology tried to contact Zhu Jiang himself for verification but failed, so it is impossible to confirm the authenticity of this statement.

At the end of November 2021, Zhu Jiang joined Jidu Auto as Vice President, responsible for user development and operations of Jidu Auto. Before joining Jidu Auto, he worked at Ford Motor (China) Electric Vehicle Division and was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Ford Motor (China) Electric Vehicle Division, responsible for the operation and management of Ford's pure electric vehicle Mustang Mach-E related to marketing, public relations, sales, service and customer experience, and reported directly to Mark Kaufman, then General Manager of Ford Motor (China) Electric Vehicle Division.

In April 2021, Zhu Jiang led a team to help Ford's first pure electric vehicle, Mustang Mach-E, achieve domestic production and pre-sale. At that time, there were rumors that he had resigned from Ford and his next stop might be Zeekr Auto and Xiaomi Auto.

Before joining Ford, Zhu Jiang served as Vice President of User Development of NIO in 2017. Earlier, he served as Deputy General Manager of Lexus China, Vice President of Brand Management of MINI China, and Vice President of BMW China, and has extensive experience in brand management and marketing.

Jidu Auto has not yet achieved mass production of cars. On June 8, Jidu Auto plans to release its first concept car robot. This concept car was originally planned to be unveiled at the Beijing International Auto Show in April. (Zijian)
