Nvidia's financial report: Nvidia's sales soared 23% in Q4 2023, becoming the world's largest semiconductor supplier

According to reports, Nvidia's semiconductor sales increased by 23% to $19.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023. This performance has allowed it to surpass several giants that have previously ranked high in the semiconductor industry, including TSMC ($19.6 billion), Samsung ($16.4 billion) and Intel ($14.6 billion), becoming the world's largest semiconductor supplier.

Nvidia is a pioneer in GPU development, which was originally designed to manufacture semiconductors for the gaming and graphics industries. Now, in addition to being used in video games, GPUs are also very suitable for use in fields such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, providing powerful computing performance and becoming increasingly important for the rapidly growing data center market.

There is no doubt that NVIDIA has been the main beneficiary of the rapid development of the artificial intelligence market over the past year or so. Its sales almost doubled in the second quarter of 2023, and continued to maintain strong growth in the third quarter. By the fourth quarter, the scale of semiconductor sales was more than three times that of the first quarter of 2023.

Last month, at the GTC 2024 conference held at the San Jose Convention Center in California, Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang brought Blackwell architecture GPUs, including the B200 GPU to replace the H100/H200, and the GB200 combined with the Grace CPU. It can be foreseen that Nvidia's revenue will most likely continue to rise in 2024.
