Google Photos app can still automatically back up after uninstallation

David Arnott , editor of the Nashville Business Journal, recently discovered that even if users uninstall the Google Photos app on their Android phones, their photos will still be backed up to the service.

This is due to the settings of Google Photos. When users install the Google Photos app, the photo backup settings will appear in Google Settings. Many people may not care much about Google Settings, but many of Google 's services, such as backup and location, need to be set up through this app.

Through Google Settings, users can turn photo sync on or off, specify the size of the backup file, the account to use, and choose whether to back up only under a WiFi network.

The problem Arnault encountered may be that he uninstalled Google Photos but did not turn off the backup function through Google Settings. This may be because photo backup was originally part of the Google+ service, and users do not necessarily need to install Google Photos to use this backup function.

Therefore, when users encounter similar problems, they can check the settings in Google Settings and manually manage the photo backup function.
