A detailed performance test of Microsoft's new Edge: Why is it so cool?

Now that it is about to be officially released, what changes will there be in performance?

AnandTech conducted another comparative test today to see the difference between the current Edge and Spartan in January this year. It also included the new and old versions of Chrome 40/43 and Firefox 35/39.

IE11 was also retested and the results were no different, so I will not list them again.

The test platform remains completely unchanged, and the processor is still Intel Core i7-860.

Oh, by the way, the version number of Edge has now reached 20.10240.16384.0, and the iteration is also very fast. We are working hard in this regard.

In every project, Edge has greatly improved over the original Spartan (and is even more so compared to IE11), especially Oort Online (WebGL performance), which has increased by 1.5 times, but it is still some distance away from Chrome and Firefox.

SunSpider and Octane 2.0 are Edge's best projects, but WebXPRT 2013 is still the slowest, and HTML5 also has some gaps.

In fact, everyone has been busy. The improvements of Chrome and Firefox in the past six months are also obvious. However, it should be noted that the performance of Firefox Oort Online has almost doubled, becoming the highest score, but it is also exaggerated.

In one scene where it was snowing, Firefox rendered it as flashing, and in another scene where it was raining, there were some extra horizontal lines.
