New multitasking interface

After upgrading to iOS 9 public beta, the first impression is not only the new font, but also the multitasking interface is very different from before. The original frequently used contact list at the top has been deleted, and the small application icons at the bottom have been moved to the upper left corner of each card.

The flat horizontal arrangement of task cards has been changed to a stacked style, which, combined with different degrees of high blur effects, together create a 3D depth of field effect, which is very rare in the flat-style iOS. The number of cards that can be operated at the same time is still 3.

Quickly return to the previous application

iPhone does not have the back button like Android phones. You can use the screen button or swipe right to return within the app. However, if you jump from one app to another and want to return to the previous app, you need to double-click the Home button to switch, which brings great inconvenience to users.

In iOS 9, a new method of quickly returning to the previous app has been added. If you jump from one app to another, you will be prompted to open the app. After that, a "Return to" button will appear in the upper left corner of the status bar of the app you opened. Click it to return directly to the previous app.

Added low power mode

iOS 9 adds a new low power mode and a battery option in the settings. Enter the battery to see the specific foreground and background power consumption of each app. When the low power mode is turned on, the battery will turn yellow.

According to Apple's official description, the power saving mode mainly extends the battery life of the iPhone by limiting the performance and background activities of the iPhone. In principle, there is no obvious difference between this and the power saving mode of Android phones.

The Apple Maps included with iOS 9 has also been updated, adding public transportation and walking navigation functions, and supporting nearby searches. Thanks to its partner Amap, this function can support more than 300 cities in China. It has done a very good job in terms of ease of use. For example, in walking navigation, 3D view, voice navigation, travel time estimation and other functions are all available. It is a pity that there is still no offline map function.

Keyboard case status display

iOS 9 has made detailed adjustments to the keyboard function. When the user clicks the Shift key to switch to uppercase, you can intuitively see the letters on the keyboard become uppercase or lowercase. Previously, the uppercase and lowercase status of letters were distinguished by black and gray keyboard font colors.

However, this feature has already been available on Android, and Apple, which focuses on user experience, is a little late to realize it.

Photos has added two new albums: Selfies and Screenshots, which will automatically categorize selfies and screenshots for easy searching.
