Siri's explanation of "bitch" causes controversy: suspected racial and gender discrimination

December 6th news, I believe everyone is familiar with the word "bitch", which is the "bitch" in "son of a bitch". The word itself is a very rude and contemptuous name for female friends. However, if you ask Siri what its definition is, the answer will be even more unfriendly.

As shown in the screenshot, after asking Siri voice "Define bitch", four definitions were obtained, the second of which was, "(informal, disrespectful) a malicious, disgusting woman", and in the supplementary notes of the explanation, bitch was even used directly to refer to women - specifically black slang.

Even though we know that bitch is mostly a derogatory word, other dictionaries do not use such an offensive word to explain it, not even Urban Dictionary, an American online dictionary website that specializes in collecting English slang.

It is understood that Siri's word explanation comes from the New Oxford American Dictionary, but in the web version of this dictionary, it was found that although there is indeed an explanation that directly refers to women, it does not specifically mention black slang, so it is difficult to understand why Siri added such a suspected racial discrimination supplement.

Of course, this could also be the dictionary's fault, but the New Oxford American Dictionary has not yet responded to the matter. It happens from time to time that some actions of technology companies are questioned by the outside world as racial discrimination. Previously, Google Photos automatically identified the profile picture of a black friend as a gorilla. Afterwards, Google apologized and corrected it. I wonder if Apple will modify Siri's interpretation of "bitch" this time?
