BYD: BYD Brazil sales exceeded 12,000 units in November 2024, ranking among the top ten in the local sales list for the first time

BYD's sales in the Brazilian market have increased significantly, with sales in the first 11 months of this year increasing by 290% year-on-year, and sales in November alone reaching 12,308 units, ranking ninth among local sales brands for the first time. Among them, BYD King (corresponding to BYD Destroyer 05 in China) has become the best-selling mid-size sedan in Brazil, with sales of 3,689 units in 2024.

In the plug-in hybrid SUV market, BYD Song led the way with sales of 24,143 units, including 17,280 BYD Song Plus DM-i and 6,863 BYD Song Pro.

BYD Dolphin Latin America Special Edition is the best-selling electric car in Brazil. The Dolphin PLUS version and BYD Dolphin DIAMOND version are priced at approximately RMB 255,000 and RMB 212,500 respectively, with sales of 20,757 and 11,372 units respectively.

With BYD building a factory in Camacari, its production capacity is expected to reach 300,000 vehicles per year, which is expected to challenge Fiat's market leadership in Brazil.
