Apple's new patent: iPhone 8 will really remove the Home button

There have been reports that the iPhone 8 will abandon the physical Home button. Is this true? Now the evidence is here. The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a new Apple patent, which is indeed related to the Home button. Users can identify their fingerprints by pressing the phone screen. The new patent Apple obtained is called "Interactive display panel equipped with infrared diodes". In simple terms, the touch panel integrates micro-LED sensing technology instead of the active matrix hardware used in traditional touch screens. It is reported that LuxVue, a developer of micro-LED technology, submitted the above patent in June 2014. After Apple acquired the former, the patent naturally belonged to them, and this technology paved the way for the cancellation of the iPhone's Home button and Touch ID sensor. The most important thing is that Apple's industry chain sources emphasized that this technology is not too difficult to mass produce now, and Apple is indeed using it.
