Samsung monopolizes Snapdragon 835, LG G6 is forced to polish 821 processor

It has been rumored for a long time that Samsung S8/S8+ has monopolized the first batch of Snapdragon 835 processors, and the Korean giant plans to release it on March 29 and go on sale on April 21. This is indeed a big blow to the flagship products of other brands.

Now, it has been confirmed that LG is the one affected. The new G6 still uses the Snapdragon 821. Although this is the first time they use 821, after all, it is a flagship launched in 2017, and the Snapdragon 835 was released last year.

The US version of G6 appeared on Geekbench, model number US997, which once again confirmed that it is undoubtedly Snapdragon 821. Previously, the Taiwanese version of model number H871 also appeared.

In fact, LG has always been at odds with Samsung, and has taken every opportunity to tease the latter after the Note 7 incident. Another interesting detail is that Jo Seong-jin, the new CEO of LG Electronics who took office at the end of last year, was publicly accused by Samsung of deliberately sabotaging its own high-end washing machines. Just imagine how deep the resentment is.

Even so, LG has no choice but to continue polishing the Snapdragon 821.

Based on the current information, LG G6 uses a 5.7-inch 18:9 2K rounded-corner screen, Android 7.0 system, quad-core DAC top-level HiFi, supports IP68 dust and water resistance, brushed metal body, parallel dual cameras, and will be first sold in South Korea in March.
