Analysis of basic energy consumption parameters of air conditioners: This is the most energy-saving way to operate them in summer!

It is already April, and people are gradually taking off their heavy coats and putting on cool summer clothes. And since the advent of air conditioning, summer days are no longer difficult.

Then, we can't help but wonder: How can we reduce the power consumption of air conditioners that work almost day and night? What factors will affect the power consumption and energy saving index of air conditioners? Let's study it. 1. Reasons that affect the power consumption of air conditioners First, determine the horsepower and cooling capacity of the air conditioner: 1 horsepower of the air conditioner refers to a cooling capacity of approximately 2000 kcal , which should be multiplied by 1.162 when converted into international units, so the cooling capacity of 1 horsepower should be 2324 (W), where W (watt) means cooling capacity, then 1.5 horsepower should be 2000 kcal x 1.5×1.162=3486 watts, and so on. Based on this situation, the horsepower and cooling capacity of the air conditioner can be roughly determined. Generally, 2200W-2600W can be called 1 horsepower, and 3200W-3600W can be called 1.5 horsepower. Second, the power consumption depends mainly on the power of the compressor: Compressor power = cooling capacity/energy consumption ratio. Generally, the energy consumption ratio of air conditioners is greater than 3. Therefore, the power consumption of 1 horsepower is generally 735W, and the power consumption of 1.5 horsepower is 735*1.5, which is about 1100 watts, that is, about 1.1 kWh per hour. In addition to the compressor, there are fans or other motors that need to consume power, so the total power consumption is about 1.2 kWh per hour. The simplest way is to see how many kilowatts the input power is on the manual, which is the power consumption per hour. Third, the power consumption of the air conditioner is directly related to the cooling capacity: But the output power representing the cooling capacity is not a direct comparison parameter of the power consumption. For example, it is not that an ordinary 1 horsepower air conditioner with a cooling capacity of 2500W consumes 2.5 kWh for one hour of continuous operation. In fact, an ordinary 1 horsepower air conditioner with a cooling capacity of 2500W consumes about 0.9 kWh for one hour of continuous operation, while an energy-saving air conditioner can even reduce it to 0.4 kWh . This is because the output power of the air conditioner is generally 2.6-2.9 times the input power, and the input power is the direct factor that determines the power consumption. 2. How to reduce the power consumption of air conditioners: 1. The most fundamental method is to choose low-power, low-energy air conditioners with energy-saving functions when purchasing. If the space is not large, such as the air conditioner in the bedroom, you can choose a 1-horsepower or 1.5-horsepower fluorine-free inverter air conditioner . Now even 1-horsepower air conditioners have many products with functions such as PM2.5 removal and silent operation. There is no need to worry that small-horsepower air conditioners are low-end or have single functions. 2. In actual applications, when cooling and heating, the temperature setting is not too different from the actual room temperature, or the air conditioner is regularly maintained and cleaned, which are all conducive to reducing the power consumption of the air conditioner. The former is easier to understand. The greater the temperature difference, the higher the working efficiency of the air conditioner and the higher the energy consumption. However, many people don’t know that if the air conditioner at home is not cleaned all year round, the dirt and dust on the evaporator will cause the heat sink to stick, the air volume of the air conditioner will become smaller, and the heat exchange efficiency will naturally decrease. Generally speaking, the power consumption will increase by about 10%. Therefore, regular cleaning is also very helpful in reducing the energy consumption of the air conditioner.
