Huawei's financial report: In 2024, Huawei's global sales revenue will be 862.1 billion yuan, and R&D investment will be 179.7 billion yuan, accounting for 20.8%

Recently, Huawei released its 2024 annual report. The report showed that Huawei's operating results were in line with expectations, with global sales revenue of 862.1 billion yuan and net profit of 62.6 billion yuan.

In terms of R&D, in 2024, Huawei's R&D expenditure was 179.7 billion yuan, accounting for about 20.8% of its annual revenue. The cumulative R&D expenditure in the past ten years has exceeded 1.249 trillion yuan.

According to the annual report, as of December 31, 2024, Huawei had approximately 113,000 R&D employees, accounting for 54.1% of the total number of employees.

Through years of continuous innovation in basic fields, Huawei is currently one of the world's largest patent holders, holding more than 150,000 valid authorized patents worldwide.

It is understood that Huawei holds a leading position in many mainstream standard patent fields such as cellular communications, short-range communications, audio and video encoding and decoding. Hundreds of companies have obtained Huawei's patent licenses through bilateral agreements or patent pool payments. As of the end of 2024, a total of more than 230 license agreements have been signed.
