Hidden details in iOS 9 beta 2 update

Apple released iOS 9 beta 2 to developers today, mainly improving performance, updating features and fixing bugs in previous versions. Generally speaking, this beta version is a routine update, but Apple still made adjustments in some small details. These adjustments make the system feel faster. The following are the details we found hidden in iOS 9 beta 2.

Podcasts - The icon image of Podcasts has become more eye-catching, the layout of the app has been slightly adjusted, and the position of the download button has changed.

Handoff --Handoff reappears in the App Switcher interface. In the latest iOS 9 beta, Handoff did not appear in the App Switcher.

Search --In iOS 9 beta 2, search has been significantly improved, with a wider search range and more search results.

Apple Watch app --The Apple Watch app has a simpler name: "Watch"

News Settings - In the Settings app, there is a "News" switch under iCloud, but the News app doesn't respond after it is triggered (is it a bug?)

Search Settings - In the Settings app, there is a list of installed apps and an on/off option for you to decide whether they appear in search results. Previously, the menu only showed Apple search results and options like Bing Web Results, Documents, Found in Mail, and Safari Suggestions.

iPad keyboard tweaks - Apple has tweaked the editing function of the iPad keyboard. The editing function now displays the undo/redo option by default instead of the previous cut/paste. The cut and copy editing options only appear when text is selected.

Automatic app deletion/reinstallation - This is actually a feature in the latest beta version, but users only discovered it when installing beta 2. When installing iOS 9 and encountering insufficient space, there will be an option to temporarily delete apps to free up space. After the update is complete, the system will reinstall the deleted applications.

Safari - Hide Safari's "Content Blockers" option in the Settings app unless Content Blocker is installed. Also, add new options to trigger the Tab Bar and Favorites Bar.

As time goes by, we will find out more details about iOS 9 beta 2. During the testing phase, Apple will still update the system at intervals of two or three weeks, bringing minor performance improvements and appearance changes until the official version is released this fall.
