Apple releases OS X 10.10.5 beta 3 to developers

Apple today released the third beta of OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite to developers, a week after the second beta was released. Apple released the official version of OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite a month ago.

Today's beta build number is 14F25a. Users who have already installed the OS X 10.10.5 beta can update directly through the Mac App Store or download it from the Apple Developer Center. The first and second betas of OS X 10.10.5 do not contain any discoverable changes, but may fix bugs and improve performance. The second beta of OS X 10.10.5 fixes the DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE security vulnerability.

There are still a few months to go before OS X 10.11 El Capitan is released, so OS X 10.10.5 may be the last update for Yosemite. Of course, Apple may also release some security updates for Yosemite after OS X El Capitan is released. Apple has brought many functional updates to OS X Yosemite, such as adding a new photo app, Force Touch API and a new emoji expression picker.
