Google quietly launches public beta version of Chrome for iOS with 3D Touch

If users want to use more advanced Google products on iOS devices, they will now be able to realize this wish, as Google has launched a public beta version of Chrome for iOS through Apple's TestFlight platform.

In the public beta version of Chrome for iOS, Google has also added the 3D Touch feature, which allows users to quickly launch the search function, and can also use seamless paging or regular tags. Users who have downloaded the new beta version of Chrome can update to version 47.0.2526.53 of Chrome. In particular, iPhone 6s users will be able to use the new 3D Touch feature, more Bluetooth keyboard screenshot features, and other new features on their phones. For the 3D Touch feature, users only need to press hard on the icon on the Home page to quickly open new tags, voice search, and other functions.

Google hasn’t made its purpose public yet, but according to 9to5Mac, any user who logs into the Chrome beta download page will see the iOS option.

There may be a good reason why Google hasn’t made this clear: TestFlight currently only allows 2,000 testers to participate at a time, so it’s not hard to imagine that if a public beta of Chrome for iOS were announced, the number of users participating in the public beta would exceed 2,000 in just a few minutes.

Despite Google's secrecy, users have been able to log in and download the public beta version of Chrome for iOS as long as they log in to Google's Chrome test download page on their iOS device.
