iOS 10.2 may cause more iPhones to suddenly shut down

Apple has just released the latest iOS 10.2 update. In addition to adding a new "TV" app for the United States and more than 100 new emojis, Apple also fixed several bugs: including strengthening the support for MFi hearing aids, adding notification support for HomeKit-related accessories, etc. However, it seems that no improvements have been introduced to the previously controversial automatic shutdown incident, which has instead become more and more serious.

Previously, Apple iPhone 6s was exposed to have a battery problem, that is, when the battery had about 30% power left, some batches of iPhone 6s would automatically shut down. Apple also confirmed the existence of the problem, not only issued a public statement on its official website, but also expressed its willingness to replace the battery for free for users with problems. However, Leifeng.com (official account: Leifeng.com) learned that in response to this problem, some users who upgraded to the latest version of iOS 10.2 said that their other models of iPhone also experienced automatic shutdown.

According to foreign media reports, a post on Apple's official forum complaining about battery problems on models other than the iPhone 6s has received more than 62 pages of replies, with many users saying that the problem only occurred after upgrading to iOS 10.2.

For example, a user with the ID ricardo jb said that after upgrading to iOS 10.2, the battery problem of iPhone 6s did appear on more iPhone models. When the user is using it normally, the battery will not drop after reaching a certain level, even when running some power-consuming applications, as if the battery is stuck. If you continue to use it, there will be random and irregular power drops. It seems that the problem that only existed on a small number of iPhone 6s before seems to have appeared on more models.

Of course, if this problem does exist, Apple will definitely fix it in subsequent iOS version iterations. Some users who upgraded to iOS 10.2.1 Beta said that they did not encounter the problem of sudden shutdown when the remaining battery was 30-50%.
