Go Hack 2017 registration is open: a Go language brain-burning battle in Shanghai in October

Donald Knuth said in his speech when he received the Turing Award in 1974: "Programming itself can be both a science and an art. When I mention the art of programming, I am mainly looking at a program from an aesthetic point of view." In Knuth's view, a program is actually a work of art. To create a program like creating a work of art requires not only knowledge reserves, but also the creator's inspiration and unique feelings for the work.

We believe that gathering with equals in a pure environment can inspire "artists" to the greatest extent. Obviously, nothing is more suitable than a hackathon.

In October, the Go Foundation and PingCAP jointly organized a Go language hackathon -- Go Hack 2017. Looking at the development trend over the past few years, Go has become the most important basic programming language in the era of cloud computing and cloud storage. We hope to further accelerate the development of Go in China through this Go Hackathon.

This event plans to publicly recruit 50 teams, each with 2-3 people. The participating teams will complete a complete project using the Go language in two days and one night. Of course, if you are confident that you can complete all the design and development work related to the project independently, we also welcome individual developers to sign up for the competition.

【Award Setting】

*** (1 group): The team will receive a cash reward of ￥10,000;

Second place (2 groups): The team will receive a cash prize of ￥5,000;

Third place (3 groups): The team will receive a cash prize of ￥3,000;

Special Challenge Award: We have also prepared surprise awards for teams that use Go community open source projects and special enterprise APIs.
