With the approach of macOS 10.15 and iOS 13, Apple has made preparations for the early integration of macOS and iOS, and the first to start is the cross-platform porting of the third-party application series. According to foreign media reports, it is expected that Siri Shortcuts and Screen Time will be launched for macOS 10.15 at WWDC in June this year.

Siri Shortcuts and Screen Time are both major features introduced in iOS 12: Shortcuts allow users to create custom voice commands for Siri and can form command macros with third-party apps. On macOS, users still need to download the app from the App Store. It should be noted that only apps using Marzipan (Apple's cross-platform framework) can get Shortcuts support on macOS.

Apple will provide a new SDK for Shortcuts at this WWDC, allowing iOS developers, especially iPad App developers, to more easily port their apps to Mac and apply advanced features.

Screen Time allows users to view the time spent in each application and set time limits for specific applications or specific categories (such as social categories). Parents can also use Screen Time to set limits for their children. The screen of macOS will be implemented through System Preferences.

In addition, the news also claims that macOS 10.15 will also bring iMessage animation effects on iOS.

Earlier rumors about macOS 10.15 also include: a redesigned Book app, independent podcast, music and TV apps, and identity extensions for Apple Watch for Mac, etc. As it stands, one of the main changes in the next version of macOS and iOS is towards integration.
