iPadOS system released: desktop-level experience says goodbye to large iPhone

In addition to the regular upgrades of the four major systems, watchOS, tvOS, iOS, and macOS, Apple also brought the new iPadOS today, which is a dedicated system for iPad tablets. It is specially optimized for large-screen applications on iPad and claims to bring a desktop-level experience, refusing to continue to make a "large iPhone."

The desktop and application layout of iPadOS has a bit more flavor of macOS. Both built-in applications and third-party applications fully support multi-window split-screen, such as two Word windows side by side, support for new views of the Files application, metadata visualization, native preview images, SD card/U disk, support for SMB file sharing, compression and decompression.

Add new touch functions, such as selecting text, turning pages, copying and pasting, and especially support a large number of three-finger gestures.

When surfing the Internet, the Safari browser will display the desktop version layout instead of the mobile version by default. It supports an independent download manager, rich shortcut keys, and custom fonts.

The Apple Pencil stylus has also been specially optimized, with latency reduced from 20 milliseconds to 9 milliseconds, and a smaller single-sided keyboard mode.

However, Apple did not announce the devices supported by iPadOS and the launch time.
