Android 10 Go version will be launched for phones with less than 1.5GB of memory

According to foreign media reports, last year, Android Go version was released with Android 9 Pie. Today, Google detailed the latest version of the operating system, Android 10 Go version, which is "faster and more secure" and will be launched this fall.

The system is targeted at entry-level smartphones with less than 1.5GB of memory.

According to Google, apps launch 10 percent faster on Android 10 Go edition compared to the low-power version of Pie, and "speed and reliability have been improved," the company said. Android 10 began rolling out to Pixel devices earlier this month.

In terms of security, Android 10 Go version uses Adiantum, an encryption technology for low-power devices launched by Google earlier this year. It allows these resource-constrained devices to encrypt data without affecting operating performance.

Adiantum does not require specialized hardware to run efficiently, which means that all Go edition users will have the same level of data security as any other Android device, without compromising performance. This will make the next generation of devices more secure than their predecessors, allowing the next billion people to access the internet safely for the first time.

The first batch of Android 10 Go edition devices will be available "later this fall," and they will also have the new logo.

Meanwhile, Google provided status updates on the platform. In the past 18 months, more than 500 manufacturers have launched more than 1,600 Android (Go edition) devices in more than 180 countries. These countries include India, South Africa, Nigeria, Brazil and the United States. Currently, more than 80% of entry-level Android phones in use use the Go edition system.

Most of Android (Go features) are app-based, and Google announced some of the features on this day last year. Google Go has an AI-powered reading feature and Google Lens. Gallery Go is the biggest feature announced since last year, and it's only 10MB in size, but it can automatically categorize your photos with the help of machine learning technology.
