WeChat responds to the "killed" process of upgrading to iOS 13.2: urgent repair is underway

Recently, a small number of netizens found that the WeChat process was "killed" after updating iOS 13.2. In addition to WeChat, apps including Meituan Takeout and Weibo also have similar problems. In response, WeChat said that a solution has been found and is being urgently tested and will be repaired as soon as possible.

Killing background apps means that the system shuts down the process of a certain app, or releases it from the memory to make room for other apps. According to feedback from netizens, this problem did not occur before upgrading to iOS 13.2. It can be judged that it may be caused by the incompatibility between the app and the system after the launch of iOS 13.2.

WeChat said, "We have received feedback from a small number of users that after upgrading to iOS 13.2, the app (such as WeChat) may be closed by the system after returning to the mobile phone desktop or lock screen, and needs to be restarted the next time it is opened. At present, we have found a solution and are conducting emergency joint debugging and testing. The repair will be completed as soon as possible. Please wait patiently."
