The WeChat Moments comment emoticon function has been closed after being removed from the shelves 2 days after its launch

On December 25, after some netizens broke the news yesterday that the WeChat Moments comment emoji package function was closed, Sanyan Finance tried to comment emoji packages on WeChat Moments again this afternoon and found that the mobile phone could no longer use custom emoji packages, only WeChat default emojis could be used. Other colleagues at Sanyan Finance also tried and were unable to use this function. In addition, the custom emoji packages that users had previously published can still be displayed and browsed normally.

Tencent responded to the media, saying, "We previously conducted a grayscale test on the function of sending emojis in Moments comments, and some users can use it after updating to version 7.0.9." Currently, the function has been suspended. WeChat did not respond to when it will be restored.
