Recently, Apple iOS WeChat released version 8.0.2. The update log said that some known issues were resolved, which is too perfunctory.

I was also the first to experience it, and found that in addition to the newly added visitor permissions, there are 7 new changes after the update. Let’s take a look.

01*Video account visitor permissions

When we browse the video account, click on the person's avatar in the upper right corner, open the browsing settings, and then click [Privacy] to set permissions. For videos that you have liked, you can set them so that friends cannot see them.

If you see a video and don't want everyone to see that you liked it, you can long press the heart icon and select [Only visible to the author]; or pause the video and click [Private Like], and it will not be discovered.

02*Remove WeChat 8.0 status

There are 22 WeChat statuses, which were very popular some time ago! However, in this update, the "WeChat 8.0" status was quietly deleted. After all, two versions have been updated since 8.0, so there is no need to promote it now.

03*Pull down to return to the applet

The biggest change in this update is the drop-down interface of the message page. In the previous version, only one row of recently used mini-programs was displayed, but the mini-programs you added yourself had to click [More] to find them.

When you pull down the message page in WeChat version 8.0.2, two rows of recently used mini-programs will be displayed, and "My Mini-Programs" has also returned to the bottom.

In addition, there is a major discovery that the articles, live broadcasts, and music that you have read recently are all focused together, but only one of each type is displayed.

04*Unread articles are suspended

When you pull down the WeChat homepage, the articles you have read will only be kept for one hour. If you want to continue reading next time, you can long press the article window and select [Float], so that it will always be saved on the negative one screen of WeChat.

05* Project the mini program to the computer

Log in the same WeChat account on mobile phone and computer, open a mini program on mobile phone, click the three dots in the upper right corner, and select [Open on Computer], then the mini program can be restored 1:1 on the computer!

06* Video Live Broadcast Restrictions

07*Watch live broadcast and switch identities

As viewers, we can enter other people's live broadcast rooms to watch live broadcasts and hide our real identities. Click the three dots in the upper right corner and click [Select Identity]. You can create a new fake identity and change your avatar and nickname.

08*People nearby are hidden

Open WeChat's [Settings] - [General] - [Discovery Page Management], and you will see that "People Nearby" is set as a separate entrance. Close the entrance here.

Next, we open WeChat, click [Discover] at the bottom, and then enter [Live and Nearby]. Only the video and live broadcast columns are displayed at the top, and "People Nearby" is hidden.
