How to access iCloud from Android phone?

This article explains how to access iCloud photos, email, calendar, and contacts from an Android phone.

Access iCloud Photos on Android Phone

You can easily access iCloud on your Android phone by logging into your account through your phone's browser. Tap "Photos" and you'll be able to see every picture you've saved on iCloud.

You can also create iCloud links to share photos and videos, view albums, and view account settings.

Another option, if you still have your iPhone, is to download Google Photos (there is an iOS app) and sync all your photos there. They will then automatically sync on your Android phone.

Access iCloud Email

If you have an Apple email address like @mac, @me, or @icloud, you can access your messages in your iCloud Inbox. On an Android smartphone, you can set it up using the Gmail app.

  • Open Gmail and click the menu button in the upper left corner.
  • Click Settings.
  • Click Add Account > Other.

  • Enter your iCloud email address and tap Next.
  • Then enter your password and click "Next".

  • Then, complete the process and you will then be able to access your iCloud inbox.

Access iCloud Calendar and Contacts on Android Phone

Unfortunately, there’s no direct way to access your iCloud calendar or contacts on Android. You’ll need an iPhone or iPad and a computer to transfer the data.

  • On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings.
  • Click on your name.

  • Select iCloud.
  • Toggle on Contacts and Calendar.
  • On your computer, open a web browser, visit the iCloud website, and log in to your account.

  • Click the Calendar icon.
  • In the left pane, click the Share Calendar button next to the calendar you want to export. In the pop-up window, select "Public Calendar". Click "Copy Link" and then click "OK".
  • Open a new browser tab or window and paste the copied URL.
  • Change the URL to http at the beginning of webcal and press Enter. Doing so will open a save file dialog box. Save the file in a folder of your choice. You can also rename it as long as you don't edit the .ics extension.
  • Open and log in to Google Calendar on your web browser.
  • In the left pane of the Google Calendar interface, click the menu arrow to the right of Other Calendars. Click “Import Calendars.”
  • Select the exported calendar file you downloaded from iCloud. You can also select the destination Google Calendar in the same dialog (if you have more than one).
  • Click the Import button to upload the file.
  • Once the import is complete, you should be able to see the imported entries in the Google Calendar web interface and on your Android device.
