Tang Jun, a researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said that Internet giants are not very active in the layout of the elderly version and have not really considered the user needs of the elderly.

In response to this, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "General Design Specifications for Internet Website Adaptation for the Aged" and the "General Design Specifications for Mobile Internet Applications (APPs) Adaptation for the Aged".

The regulations point out that advertising content and plug-ins are strictly prohibited in the elderly-friendly version interface and separate elderly-friendly version of the app, and advertisements or temporary pop-up windows are not allowed to appear randomly.

At the same time, there should be no inducement buttons such as inducing downloads or inducing payments in mobile applications.

According to statistics, there are about 274 million elderly people using mobile phones in my country, of which about 134 million use smartphones to access the Internet, and nearly 140 million elderly people are blocked from accessing the Internet.

According to the latest technical requirements, users should be able to adjust the font size of the App, the line spacing of text in a paragraph should be at least 1.3 times, and the paragraph spacing should be at least 1.3 times larger than the line spacing.

In the future, text color will not be the only means to convey information, indicate actions, prompt responses, etc. to distinguish visual elements. For example, if a user enters an incorrect password, you should be able to use text or voice to directly prompt the user that the input is incorrect, and avoid using color as the only means of prompting.
