On September 17, according to media reports, this morning, QQ unlinked Taobao and Douyin, and it is no longer necessary to copy and open the APP via a password.

But just now, TechWeb found through actual testing that the links of Taobao and Douyin apps still cannot be opened directly in QQ.

When sharing a Taobao APP shopping link to QQ, you need to copy the password and it will appear as a blank page when opened in QQ; when sharing a Douyin APP video link to QQ, it still cannot be opened and it will display "If you want to browse, please copy and use the browser to access it."

On the web side, both the Douyin and Taobao official websites can be opened in QQ.

In addition, the opening mechanism of WeChat for Taobao and Douyin external links has not changed and cannot be opened.

On September 9, the relevant business departments of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held an "Administrative Guidance Meeting on Blocking URL Links", attended by Alibaba, Tencent, ByteDance, Baidu, Huawei, Xiaomi, Momo, 360, NetEase and other companies. At the meeting, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology proposed compliance standards for instant messaging software, requiring that all platforms must lift the blocking according to the standards within a time limit, otherwise disposal measures will be taken in accordance with the law.

On September 13, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology further stated that companies have been required to pragmatically promote the blocking of URL links in instant messaging in accordance with the rectification requirements, so that different types of problems can be resolved in steps and stages.

In response, Tencent said it would firmly support the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and implement it in stages and steps on the premise of safety as the bottom line.

Alibaba responded by saying, "Connectivity is the original intention of the Internet, and openness is the foundation of the digital ecosystem. Alibaba will follow the relevant requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and work with other platforms to develop the future and move forward in the same direction."

ByteDance responded that ensuring normal access to legitimate URLs is a basic requirement for the development of the Internet, which is related to user rights, market order and industry innovation and development. ByteDance will earnestly implement the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and call on all Internet platforms to take action, not make excuses, clarify the timetable, and actively implement it to provide users with a safe, reliable and convenient network space.
