iOS 15 update failure: Cannot use Siri to adjust AirPods Pro active noise reduction/transparency mode

MacRumors quoted many netizens as saying that Apple seems to have introduced a bug in the iOS 15 update, which has caused some users to be unable to control the active noise reduction (ANC) or transparency mode (Transparency) of AirPods Pro true wireless headphones through the Siri voice assistant. Two days ago, Shoddy_Corgi_1894 posted on Reddit that "iOS 15 broke Siri's noise reduction control function", which attracted many comments from netizens who were also caught in the crossfire.

According to everyone’s feedback, after upgrading to iOS 15, no matter whether they ask Siri to turn off active noise reduction or activate transparency mode on the paired AirPods Pro, Siri will only answer "Sorry, I can't perform this operation."

Affected by this, users who connect AirPods Pro to an iPhone smartphone running iOS 15 can only adjust the active noise reduction/transparency mode of the headphones through the controls in the control center.

However, MacRumors confirmed that the issue appears to have been fixed in the iOS 15.1 beta public test version pushed out on Tuesday.

As the first public beta version of iOS 15.1, this update also brings the long-delayed FaceTime SharePlay feature.

As for when Apple will officially push iOS 15.1 to fix this experience failure, it is expected to take several weeks.
