The entire iPhone 13 series no longer supports China Telecom's 2G/3G network

A few days ago, Apple’s official support website showed that the iPhone 13 series no longer supports China Telecom’s 2G/3G network, while the 2G/3G networks of China Mobile and China Unicom are not affected.

In addition, the Hong Kong version no longer supports the CDMA standard, which means that the iPhone 13 series sold in Greater China will have no service when entering the telecom 4G/5G blind spot.

It is reported that China Telecom requires that all 5G terminals will not be allowed to have CDMA frequency bands and standards from 2020, and will not be allowed to have VoLTE switches. If CDMA frequency bands and standards have been reported, the removal schedule needs to be clearly specified, and CDMA frequency bands and standards will not be allowed in the final network access certificate and model approval certificate.

China Telecom's performance report for the first three quarters of 2021 showed that in the first three quarters of 2021, China Telecom's mobile communications service revenue was 140.528 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%. The net increase in mobile users was 18.64 million, reaching about 370 million, and the net increase in 5G package users was 69.04 million, reaching about 156 million.
