Zhang Ying, the person in charge of WeChat Pay, revealed in his speech that the number of Mini Program developers exceeded 3 million in 2021, and developers received stable income. Compared with 2020, the monetization scale of Mini Programs increased by more than 90%, and the advertising revenue paid by WeChat to developers was close to 10 billion.

Specifically, in mini programs, young people like to use life services, efficient office work, e-commerce shopping, etc. the most, young people like to use government services, shared travel, logistics and express delivery, etc. the most, and middle-aged and elderly people like video entertainment, government services, and supermarket group buying the most.

Officials said that mini programs are a new open capability that allows developers to quickly develop a mini program that can be easily accessed and disseminated within WeChat while providing an excellent user experience.

According to Tencent's third-quarter 2021 financial report, as of the end of the third quarter, the monthly active combined accounts of WeChat and WeChat were 1.26 billion. Compared with the same period last year, the scale of WeChat users increased by 4.1%, an increase of approximately 10 million in the quarter.
