Not long after the official version of Android 12 was launched, Android 13 began internal testing. Today, foreign media discovered that Google is adding a "click to transfer" media playback feature to Android 13. This feature allows devices running Android 13 to directly project media to nearby speakers or other compatible playback devices. When close to a playback device, devices running Android 13 will receive a floating notification at the top, telling users that they can play on the connected device and withdraw the connection. However, it is not yet known how this feature will be supported, wireless, NFC or UWB are all possible, and it is not known whether the device needs to support the Google Cast protocol. In fact, this function is quite similar to the “AirDrop” function of the iPhone. Users can use UWB to directly broadcast by placing the iPhone close to the Homepods. Domestic Android devices have already implemented similar technologies, and the addition of Android 13 now can be said to be belated. It should be noted that Android 13 is currently in the early internal construction stage and the development beta version has not yet been released. There are still variables as to whether this feature will appear in the official version of Android 13. |
