WeChat Android version 8.0.19 beta version released: chat voice "continue playing", batch delete friends, video call blurred background...

IT Home reported on January 21 that WeChat iOS version had been updated to version 8.0.17, which brought a lot of new features. Last night, WeChat Android version 8.0.19 beta version was updated, and WeChat officials simply stated that some known issues had been resolved. Therefore, some new features of WeChat need to be discovered by ourselves.

The chat voice of the Android version of WeChat beta already supports pausing and resuming, so if you don’t finish listening to a long voice message, you no longer have to listen to it again.

In the latest Android version of WeChat beta, the video call interface has added blur background and flip functions.

To delete contacts in batches, click the search bar at the top of the WeChat "Conversation List" page and enter the relevant information to be searched (such as first name, last name, tag, description, etc.). Click "More Contacts" below the contact search results. On the "More Contacts" page, you can see the newly added "Manage" button in the upper right corner. After clicking "Manage", you can delete friends in batches by multi-selecting.

New settings or changes have been added, such as "Personal Information and Permissions", "Personal Information Collection List", and "Third-Party Information Sharing List".

After entering the "Mini Program" page from the "Discover" page, a new "..." button is added in the upper right corner. Click it and a new "Personal Information and Permission Management" entry is added. You can also view and manage the information authorized to the Mini Program.

At the bottom of the "About WeChat" page, a new customer service phone number "400 670 0700" is added.

In addition, the new version of WeChat has added new features such as only group owners/group administrators can modify the group chat name, send music directly in the chat window, WeChat status supports full-screen display, and historical status revision.
